  What is EFT?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and is a meridian energy therapy (MET). See the side menu link “our Energy”. It is also referred to as energy Psychology by some practitioners.

EFT is a simple, painless and elegant process that can be applied to almost anything that you feel is a problem or difficulty to you, be it an emotional or physical discomfort. The length of time you have had the problem is not important EFT will heal long standing issues just the same as recent issues. By tuning yourself into the problem simply by thinking about it, (something we tend to do everyday anyway), and applying EFT to the issue there and then, it will dissolve. Maybe the focus then shifts to another underlying issue (aspects) which also needs to be dissolved. In this way with skilful guidance you will find yourself totally free.

EFT was formulated by Stamford Engineer Gary Craig. He created and refined his amazing system after learning TFT (Thought Field Therapy) from DR Roger Callaghan, who in 1979 discovered that by getting a client to tune into a problem, find where in the body it was being felt and then tapping on relevant meridian points that the problem ceased to be troubling. This was a huge breakthrough in the field of healing.

TFT was however quite a complicated affair which involved learning hundreds of acupuncture points and relating them to the client issues. Gary Craig, being an engineer and not medically trained in any way, took a common sense engineering approach and simplified the system. He did some further research and subsequently discovered that a handful of meridian points close to the skin’s surface on the human body were more than sufficient to effect the same results.

This meant that it would be easy for clients to learn and remember where to tap, so that clients could use it outside of the therapy session. Gary has continued to refine the art of delivering EFT to help resolve a wide range of issues as can be seen in his ever growing collection of published case studies. Many other people have, with Gary’s full blessing and encouragement, created their own methods and protocols for meridian therapies such as TAT and BSFF. Many professional medical staff also use EFT as it is highly effective in so many areas.

A great debt of gratitude is owed to Gary and his total commitment to helping literally tens of thousands of people around the world to heal and for selflessly encouraging others to progress with their own forms of EFT.

What does EFT do?

EFT is a highly effective and gentle way to remove emotional problems that can manifest themselves in a variety of ways, such as phobias, anxiety, panic attacks, traumatic memories and stress or OCD or result from relationship problems.

EFT is also highly effective for physical pain...

Often it works when most other treatments have failed.

The EFT process is gentle, painless and often very rapid, what can take years to work through with conventional methods can be removed sometimes in just a matter of minutes, by simply accessing the bodies energy system and correcting any disruptions.

This includes fears, phobias, anger, grief, anxiety, depression, traumatic memories, PTSD, worry, guilt and all limiting emotions in sports, business and the performing arts.

That's quite a comprehensive list and covers just about every restrictive emotion we can experience. There are many benefits to learning to use EFT from a qualified EFT practitioner:

EFT will dramatically change your world for the better.

There is no long, drawn out, "tell me your life story" feature to EFT.

There are no pills.

There is no painfully reliving past traumatic events.

There is no painful exposure to phobic situations

It doesn't take months or years.

It takes a fraction of the usual time and is often done in minutes.

People simply get beyond their emotional luggage, there and then... usually permanently, and then just go about their lives more effectively.

The intensity of a problem or how long it has been around is immaterial. The cause is always a disrupted energy system and when this is balanced, it gives relief... regardless of its severity.

The general belief is that intense and /or long resident problems are more "deeply ingrained" than other problems, and therefore it should take more effort to relieve them. This seems very logical when viewed through conventional approaches because conventional approaches don't directly address the true cause.

Conventional approaches tend to take aim at one's memories or other mental processes and ignore the energy system (where the true cause really lies). When slow progress is being made it is convenient to blame the problem because it is presumed to be "deeply ingrained" or otherwise difficult to deal with. In this manner, conventional approaches can... and do... explain away ineffective results.

When EFT does require persistence it is not because of the intensity or resident length of a problem. It is usually because of a problem's complexity. This means the existence of several aspects to a problem each of which must be relieved. Once you have learned to use this technique you have a gift for life to use as and when you feel the need to.

EFT is useful for almost any type of problem including:
